The Build Details

When I bought the car, I knew it would mean lot of sweat and skinned knuckles. At this point, I've owned it for two years. It should have been finished in just one, but "other stuff" got in the way.

I want my car to look like that. I've got a photo of it in the garage to remind myself why I'm doing so much work.

With any project there are dozens of little details, so the following pages are just an overview. I'll add more as things progress.

Note: I'm not doing a 100% stock rebuild, which might upset some purists. The closest this car will get to the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is the parking lot. Automotive technology has come a long way since 1971. For example, the painfully slow wiper motor has been replaced by one from a Honda Civic. This car is going to be a daily driver, so I want it as dependable and functional as possible.

Style is a matter of personal taste. I like the look of an air dam, spoiler, and bright red paint, so that's the direction I'm going.
